I noticed Crystal on the GND, and she was my personal favorite of the
finalists they were testing. I was really looking forward to her issue,
which I bought the other day.
Boy, was I disappointed. Not with Crystal – I still think she’s a very
pretty woman with a great body. But her layout – such simple, plain
poses and unimaginative backgrounds. What has happened to Playboy? Are all centerfold layouts this bland now? I think Crystal deserved better.

Playboy centerfold Crystal McCahill — Miss May 2009 — made a brief appearance in court this morning in connection with her DUI case.
McCahill — dressed all in black, with black sunglasses — showed up at the Daley Center courtroom by herself, and teamed up with her attorney inside.
Her attorney filed a motion to suppress evidence in McCahill’s Jan. 7 DUI arrest. The case was then continued to July 10.
Before the hearing, McCahill politely refused to talk about her case — but asked reporters if they were coming to her Playboy autograph-signing event at Club Crescendo nightclub later today.
The 5-foot-7 brunette, who has also appeared on the E! Playboy reality show “The Girls Next Door,” had a blood-alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit when she drove a 2005 Volkswagen Passat through a red light at Chicago and Wood, according to a Chicago Police report.

Crystal McCahill says she knew it was her destiny to one day cradle an inflatable swan while posing naked in a swimming pool — the same pose her mom struck in 1968.
But the time had to be right for the 25-year-old Chicagoan to reenact her mother’s 1968 Playboy magazine pose.

“I just wanted to be more — what’s the word? — I just really wanted to look my best and work out, and things like that,” McCahill said in an interview.
McCahill and her dream are getting plenty of exposure this week.
She’s Playboy’s Miss May 2009 — reenacting her mother’s pose. Friday evening, she’ll sign copies of the magazine at Club Crescendo, 222 W. Ontario.
Earlier Friday, she’ll be in court in connection with a Jan. 7 DUI arrest.
The 5-foot-7 brunette, who has also appeared on the E! Playboy reality show “The Girls Next Door,” had a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal standard for drunk driving when she was stopped for driving her 2005 Volkswagen Passat through a red light at Chicago and Wood, according to police.
McCahill declined to talk about her DUI case. Maybe when it’s all over, she said.
She was happy to talk about Playboy, though. An interesting set of coincidences led to her Playboy appearance, she said — including running in to the cast from “The Girls Next Door” by accident at a Hooters restaurant in Chicago. That led to a photo shoot, her appearance on the show and eventually to being Miss May.
McCahill was born in River Forest and home-schooled through Christian Liberty Academy, located in Wheeling Township.
She doesn’t think her Playboy photos conflict with her Christian beliefs.
“I believe our bodies are beautiful, and I don’t believe Playboy is trashy in any way,” McCahill said.
And she says her mother, Gale Olson, loves the images.
“She’s super-excited that I’m able to share the experience with her,” McCahill said.
She has plans for her future: ”More modeling. If I work out some more, maybe a Victoria’s Secret model.”
Playboy Model Drops Bid To Drive After DUI Bust

Attorney Peter Garbis withdrew the request made on behalf of Crystal McCahill at a brief court appearance at the Daley Center.
Under Illinois law, McCahill’s license was automatically suspended for six months because of her Jan. 7 DUI arrest.
McCahill, 25, of Wilmette, was arrested after Chicago police said she drove her 2005 Volkswagen Passat through a red light at Chicago and Wood.
Her blood-alcohol level was more than twice the .08 percent legal standard for drunk driving, according to a police report. McCahill “mumbled,” had a “strong odor” of alcohol on her breath and had “red-bloodshot and glassy eyes,” according to the police report.
It also said she told an officer she was leaving the Climax nightclub, where she worked at the time as a bartender.
“I had three shots at Climax,” the officer quoted McCahill as saying.
The 5-foot-7-inch model is set to make an appearance in Playboy magazine as Miss May 2009.
She appeared last season on “The Girls Next Door” as one of the models being considered to be the magazine’s 55th anniversary “playmate.” She lost out to another model.
McCahill sat in the front row of the courtroom before going before the judge, was tanned and dressed in a charcoal-gray pinstripe pantsuit with a burgundy top. Cook County sheriff’s deputies escorted her out of court afterward via a back way, avoiding reporters.

But first, the Chicago area woman must appear before a Cook County judge in connection with a Jan. 7 DUI arrest.
The 5-foot-7 brunette, who has also appeared on the E! Playboy reality show “The Girls Next Door,” had a blood-alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit when she drove a 2005 Volkswagen Passat through a red light at West Chicago Avenue and North Wood Street, according to a Chicago Police report.
McCahill, 25, told police, “I had three shots at Climax [nightclub], where I work,” according to the police report. Police said McCahill “mumbled,” had a “strong odor” of alcohol on her breath and had “red-bloodshot and glassy eyes.”
McCahill is due in court March 19 at the Daley Center. Her attorney is expected to ask a judge to restore McCahill’s driving privileges, said Assistant State’s Attorney Lawrence O’Reilly.

Crystal McCahill follows in the Family Tradition

Crystal McCahill, daughter of Playboy playmate Gale Olson, Miss August 1968, is following in the family tradition of posing for Playboy. Found during the model search for the 55th Anniversary playmate at Hooters in Chicago (video below), which was documented on this season (season 5) of E! Channel’s The Girls Next Door, Crystal was one of the finalists for the anniversary issue. Crystal McCahill lost out to Dasha Astafieva but made an impression on many, including Hugh Hefner. I can not see it, I really can’t. From the pictures below, I bet you can’t see it either, especially around the eye area. Crystal has been attending Playboy functions and will be this year’s Miss August 2009. Crystal was interviewed on a college radio station (ICE internet radio

The Girls Next Door: Dasha’s the New Playmate!

This week’s episode of The Girls Next Door brought us to the end of the search for the 55th anniversary issue Playboy Playmate. Our finalists: Dasha from Ukraine, Crystal from Chicago and Hope from Texas.
Quick question: Are you excited that brunettes are finally getting a role in the show?!
For some reason, all the other contestants are still in the house (including the twins, who still insist on wearing matching outfits). The whole gang headed out Knott’s Berry Farm where Holly could figure out “how much fun they’re willing to have.”
After riding the roller coasters and getting a Western photo made, the three finalists posed for their final shoots. First up was Hope, who Holly said “has a glow about her. She could be Miss USA!” (Let’s remember that Hope hosts a fashion show in Canada, so she’s had experience with celebrity.)
Dasha went second, and the photographer was very impressed with her performance in front of the camera. No surprise here either: not only has the girl modeled for an international issue of the magazine, but she is also in a girl band called Nikita.
Last was Crystal, who posed with Holly’s “cute car,” a cherry red Corvette convertible. Again, the photographer was impressed, and again, it wasn’t surprising: Crystal admitted earlier in the episode that she’d done plenty of pageants in the past.
Finally, it was time for Hef and Holly to make a decision about who would take the title. Hef weighed in on all three ladies, and had positive things to say about everyone. Hope, he said, was “tall, all-American, very personable.” Crystal would be a second generation Playmate, and he liked the idea of tradition. Dasha, he said, would help the international brand, but would “be less available … in terms of publicity and promotions.”
Ultimately though, they went with Dasha, whom Hef called “the most special” in a weirdly poignant scene that involved plenty of tears and kisses.
The gang celebrated with champagne and dancing at a club and everyone had a happy ending, including the twins, who had nothing but praise for the new Playmate.

Went thru the .com’s pix from the Halloween party, and apparently Kyra
Milan is now Kyra Hipp. From other ,I’m wondering if Crystal McCahill
is going to become a girlfriend, since she descended the staircase with
Hef, the twins, and Amy Leigh. Speaking of which….
Watching the GND show on Sunday, the preview of next week’s episode
showed a girl – who I swore was Crystal – saying her mother was a
playmate in 1968. Anyone have any idea who it is?
